Story:

Gotta Keep was written during a season of great sorrow and heartache. I wrote this song after finding myself in a situation I never thought I would have to face but I knew that I couldn’t give up. I knew that God would not leave nor forsake me and I had to keep moving forward. I knew that with His help, I would overcome the dark time and be okay.

During this difficult season, the line, Gotta Keep, Gotta keep it all together, would run through my mind nonstop and eventually became this song. I knew I had to keep it together for my family, my husband and my children. I couldn’t give up the fight and give into my despair, I had to keep moving on and forward because I would be okay in the end. I couldn’t give up, there was too much at stake.

My prayer for this song is that others who find themselves receiving news that shakes their world and everything they believed to be true and solid, find hope through it. That they are encouraged by the words of this song and they are reminded that they are not alone and they will be okay. My hope is to encourage others to not give in when the times get hard but to keep on going and keep on believing.

Even for those who maybe haven’t received bad news but are going through a challenging season at work, in friendships, in motherhood or in the marriage, I hope this song encourages them too. I hope they repeat the lines of this chorus that they too don’t give up but keep on fighting to overcome the challenging season.

My prayer is that people who hear this song are reminded to never ever lose their hope, trust and faith. That they chose to never give up because God is with them through the storm, even when they don’t know how they are going to get through another day. Because of God, they will be okay.

You Stayed - Natalie Grace

Title: You Stayed Artist: Natalie Grace Genre: CCM Release date: March 15, 2024 Type of release: Single Source: Artist Story: There would be no resurrection if Jesus hadn’t finished the work on the cross. He could have called a legion of angels to rescue him but he was committed to the sacrifice that would bring us salvation. This song is an anthem celebrating His love and mercy! This song was actually inspired by my daughter. When she was real young, I read the story about Jesus dying on the cross from one of her storybook Bibles, It talked about how he could have rescued himself— he didn’t have to endure the suffering but he chose to stay bc he loved us and knew it was the only way for us to be saved, Her sweet little voice just kept asking me, “He stayed???” I thought it was so powerful since we spend a lot of time singing about how he didn’t stay in the grave. Yet there could be no resurrection without him staying and finishing the work on the cross. So it’s a reflection on hi

Deep: The Journey - Yemi Alafifuni

Title: Deep: The Journey Artist: Yemi Alafifuni Genre: CCM Release date: March 1st, 2024 Source:  Artist Story: Writing ‘Deep’ was a journey of thoughts, questions and ecstatic discovery of God’s love. About two years ago, I was in deep thoughts and had many questions for my Father. Asking these questions loudly or in company of believers could be construed as being ungrateful or doubtful. But they were questions about my call and I secretly demanded answers. Round about this time, I reluctantly attended our mid-week bible study session on a Wednesday and my pastor’s wife (Pastor Gloria) was teaching on Love. In this session, she taught on Ephesians 3:17-19 especially on vs 18 where she began to explain what the dimensions of God’s love looked like. My love language is love in its purest form so I was super attentive and captivated at the same time. It was as though it was my first time hearing about love, true and pure. This captivated my heart and suddenly I felt a flood of light
